Message from the Director General
for the 2017-2018 School Year
We did it again! I am very proud to say that all our hard work throughout the 2016-2017 school year paid off. Indeed, the Central Québec School Board (CQSB) remains one of the leading school boards in the Province. Hats off to everyone!
The education world is in constant evolution and 2017-2018 will be a pivotal year; starting with the implementation of the Government’s Policy on Educational Success while preparing our first Commitment to Success Plan. Furthermore, the arrival of the new Secondary III History course and the new Secondary V Finance course are challenges that we will definitely be ready to meet as our students will be introduced to these new courses in September.
CQSB’s success can be attributed to a combination of many factors. Among those is the exceptional professionalism of its staff members. Dedication, unity and cohesion are qualities that also define our School Board and that truly make a difference. CQSB employees not only work continuously to support the learning of each and every student, but they also provide them with a safe and caring learning environment wherein they can maximize their full potential. Students have always been, and will always be, at the centre of all CQSB’s actions and there is absolutely no doubt in my mind that we will continue to strive in that direction. Our hard work and team approach directly impact the performance of our students. Incidentally, once again, our students’ last June uniform ministerial examination results were simply outstanding! Great job everyone!
To all our principals, vice-principals, teachers, professionals, support staff, administrators, commissioners, parents, community volunteers and, of course, all our students - I wish you all a memorable and very successful 2017-2018 school year!
