The Central Québec School Board Confirms That it Will be Joining the Ligue de Hockey Préparatoire Scolaire
Québec, February 28th 2017 – The Central Québec School Board, confirms that it will be joining the “Ligue de Hockey Préparatoire Scolaire” (LHPS) for the next school year. During the league’s annual general assembly, held in Drummondville last week, the members voted unanimously in favour of St. Patrick’s High School joining their ranks. Our candidacy was recognized for the quality of the hockey program already in place and the school’s outstanding academic support offered to its students. By joining the LHPS, we will provide elite Anglophone hockey players an opportunity to play in a provincial league that focuses on developing student-athletes while offering them a platform to showcase their ability to move on to higher levels (NCAA, QMJHL, Collégial AAA, etc.) once they graduate from High School.
