On Monday, May 29th the CQSB Elementary Track and Field Meet took place for the 11th year. This annual event has taken place at various venues but thanks to the generosity of the Valcartier Community Centre, we’ve had the privilege of using their facilities for the last four years at NO cost. The organizers, coaches and students are extremely grateful for the kindness of Pamala Hogan and her team.
Message from the school: St. Vincent School has had a Robotics Club for many years. However, this year we took a different approach and decided to try to engage as many students as possible into this club. The premise behind this was to encourage and promote the importance of team work and communication through the building and programming of robots. We invited students from Grades 3-6 to participate in the Robotics Club during their lunch hour. This initiative began in November and came to a close in May. Amazingly we had approximately 80 students who chose to participate in the Robotics Club this year.
After winning the regular season title, the Cadet team completed a formidable season by winning the regional playoffs. The team won all their games but one throughout the course of the regular season and playoffs. Congratulations to the players involved!
