Location

QUEBEC HIGH SCHOOL is located in the historic city of Québec. The school is located at the corner of the avenue Belvédère and boulevard René-Lévesque, and is served by four major bus routes; the 800, 801, 25 and 10 as well as a number of express busses.
 

Mission/Vision

Quebec High School is a dynamic, creative and progressive public English-Language secondary school, reaching out to students in the greater Québec area. Our overriding philosophy of success for all is reflected in the CQSB's motto of Learning for All. At Quebec High School we provide you with a welcoming, inclusive and safe multicultural environment in which the focus is on academic success and personal development. We can offer you a balanced, fun and integrated educational approach so that you can reach your potential.
 

Programs

QHS offers a full range of courses that one would find at any public secondary school in the province of Québec in grades Sec. I through Sec. V. In addition to this we offer specialized programs such as: French Mother Tongue, Basketball Concentration First and Second Cycle; Soccer Concentration in Cycle I, Arts Études-Integrated Arts, enriched curriculum in the Arts, Ceramics, Robotics, Spanish, Woodworking as well as Media and Communications.

Quebec High School is involved in the Défi de l'entrepreneuriat from the Ministère de l'Éducation, du Loisir et du Sport to build activities that prepare students for a life of entrepreneurship.

Quebec High School is one of 15 Community Learning Centres in the English Sector in the province of Québec. Combined with partners in our community, new programs and course offerings are to be developed to expand services past traditional school hours. Examples of current courses are Gaelic, bag piping and highland dancing.

Quebec High welcomes a large number of foreign exchange students from all corners of the world annually.

Governing Board
At QHS the Governing Board works closely with the Administration of the school to ensure the policy orientations of the Board are carried out. Our Governing Board works together with the other stakeholders in the school toward common goals and the harmonious development of our educational services offered.
