Suicide Prevention Week
Suicide Prevention Week is a reminder of the importance of looking out for one another. A simple gesture, a listening ear, or a caring conversation can make a real difference.
Together, let’s keep hope alive and stay attentive to those around us. 💛

On January 31, the Central Québec School Board is proud to honour Naskapi Day, a day dedicated to celebrating the Naskapi Nation of Kawawachikamach, its rich culture, history, and longstanding connection to the land. On this occasion, we wish to highlight the valuable contribution of the Jimmy Sandy Memorial School community, whose students and staff enrich our broader school community through their culture, knowledge, and shared perspectives.

From February 2 to 13, 2026, it’s School Registration and Admission time!

Each year, the school transportation team promotes the “Did You See Me?” campaign led by the Fédération des transporteurs par autobus.
Using fun and interactive tools designed for students, their families, and the broader community, this campaign aims to raise awareness about the importance of safety around school buses. It encourages positive behaviors, promotes vigilance, and reminds everyone that seeing and being seen is essential to ensuring everyone’s safety.
Among the resources offered are interactive quizzes, challenge cards, a reading corner, and videos created specifically for young children, as well as road safety awareness capsules and a road safety report.
