First day of school content

Secondary one orientation day

The purpose of the Secondary One Orientation Day is to have the students meet the administration, teachers, and staff, receive their school materials, and assigned locker, as well as to allow your child to familiarize themselves with the school and procedures before their first day. This meeting is a very important step in the integration of your child in our school.

When arriving, parents and students will be directed to the auditorium. After the welcoming message and introductions by the administration and staff, the students will move into classrooms with their Secondary One teachers. Parents are invited to stay in the auditorium for a presentation entitled ‘Understanding and Supporting our Teens’ by Julie Slattery, St. Patrick’s School Climate Consultant. This presentation will provide insight and strategies which will be helpful in supporting your child in navigating the upcoming years in high school.

Parking is especially difficult in this area, therefore please plan accordingly. Parking is available at L’îlot St-Patrick on Salaberry for a nominal fee.
