Music Profile
The Music Profile Program is for students who want to learn and play and perform music in group settings.
Rock Band/Jazz Band
(Guitar, ukelele, piano, bass & drums) and incorporating other instruments (viola, flute, saxophone, trumpet, clarinet, trombone and tuba).
The main focus of the Music Profile is to PERFORM.
Possible performance opportunities are: CQSB Cross Country Run, PEP Rally events, Sports Profile Gigs, Lunch Concerts, a Christmas Concert, Elementary School bookings, The St. Patrick’s Day Parade, The St. Pat’s Got Talent Show, the CQSB Performing Arts Festival and the End of Year Concert.
Other learning opportunities include:
- Recording techniques (we have a 16-track mobile recording studio that is used to record live concerts and studio performances)
- Lighting techniques (for live shows)
- Music publicity
- Concerts and clinics given by professional musicians who are on tour in Quebec City
A passion for music and an open-minded attitude are important for students interested in this profile. No previous musical experience is required.
