A registration form is sent to each parent in June, it must be returned before the date mentioned on the response coupon. If you make a reservation for your child to attend daycare on pedagogical days, and he/she does not attend, you will be expected to make the payment, since extra personnel must be hired according to parental response coupons.Your child may be refused because the children exceed the educator/ child ratio.

Role and responsibilities of educators:

  • to ensure at all times the well-being and safety of the children in their care

Meals and Snacks

Parents provide daily meals and snacks for pedagogical days.  Snacks are to be provided for regular school days.  The daycare will not provide snacks because many children have allergies.

Many allergic children attend daycare so no peanuts or nuts should be given to your child.

Homework Period

As MEES is a ″no homework″ school. Upon request, we may offer time for students to strengthen their skills in core subjects.

This may be done individually, in pairs or in small groups.  Homework time does not include individual remedial work. Parents still have a responsibility to make sure that their child has done his or her assignments.

Illness and Medication

Sick children (with fever, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, etc.)  should not be at daycare.  Parents will be called to pick up their child.

Personnel will administer prescription medications to your child.  The medication must be in its original container stating the child’s name, dosage, date and doctor’s name. The daycare provides a medication form that is to be filled out by the parent. Non-prescription medications will not be administered.

First aid will be administered if your child is injured while attending daycare.  In an emergency, we will make every effort to contact you.  Please ensure we have been notified with any change in contact information.

Personal belongings

The daycare is not responsible for lost, broken or stolen items.  All personal belongings must be identified with the child’s name.  It is prohibited to bring toys and games from home unless you have been previously advised of a special daycare activity.

Proximity key tags are available for sale at $10,00 to each parent of a child attending daycare. This key will allow direct access according to the determined hours. It should only be used by the designated adult.  In the event of loss, the parent will have to pay the replacement cost.
