Registration Period


The official registration period for the 2024-2025 school year will be held from February 5 to 16, 2024. You can however still register your child at any time for the current school year.

** In-person registrations will be done by appointment. You may click on this link to make the appointments. 
 

Kindergarten Students
 

A) Territory 

Make sure your address is on Everest Elementary's territory. To verify, click here and enter your home address, then scroll down to see which school your address it is associated with. You must be in the Everest Elementary area to receive bussing. If you wish to attend Everest but are not on the territory, you will need to register at the school that is associated to your address and ask for a Cross-boundary request.

B) Eligibility

Your child must be eligible to receive English instruction under Bill 101. Click here for more details.

C) Age

Your child must be 5 years old by September 30, 2024. You will be required to provide a valid Birth Certificate (long form, original document). A photocopy will be taken at registration. 

D) Proof of residency 

You will be required to provide proof of residency in Quebec if your child was born out of province. An original document which shows the parents' name and address must be submitted (Hydro, phone, cable, tax bill,driver's licence, bank or credit card statement, etc.). A photocopy will be taken at registration.

E) Orientation Meeting 

We offer new families the opportunity to meet with our staff, visit our school and get detailed information about our Kindergarten program.This activity is usually held in June. Our secretary will tell you more about this meeting when you register.


New Students at other levels (Grade 1 to 6
)


If your child is transferring from another CQSB school, please inform both schools of the change. Administrative files and bussing information will be transferred accordingly.

If you are new to the area:

A) Territory

C) School visit 

We offer new families the opportunity to meet with our staff, visit our school and get detailed information about our Elementary program. Our secretary will tell you more about this meeting when you register and to set up an appointment.


Temporary Certificates

If your child attends Everest under a temporary certificate expiring in June 2024, you will need to make a new request to the MELS. The necessary form will be sent to you in January. Parents should complete, sign and return this form by March 3rd 2024. If the parent is military, make sure you also provide a copy of the military ID card (both sides). The expiry date should be beyond November 30th 2024.


Student graduating in June 2024

If your child is in Grade 6 and will be graduating in June, you have received a registration form for Secondary I. If you would like to register your child at St.Patrick High SchoolQuebec High School (QHS) or Dollard-des-Ormeaux (DDO), or another school, indicate this choice on the registration form, verify the information printed on the forms, make the necessary changessign and return the form by January 25.
