Secretary General - Mandate

As stipulated in Article 259 of the Education Act: Every school board shall appoint a secretary general who shall perform and exercise, in addition to the functions and powers provided for in this Act and in the regulation of the Minister under section 451, the functions and powers of the secretary of the council of commissioners and of the executive committee and those determined by the school board. The same person may hold the positions of secretary general and assistant director general simultaneously.
