Official Registration for the 2019-2020 school year

Registration Period

The official registration period will be held from February 4th to 22nd, 2019. You can however register your child at any time for the current school year.


Kindergarten Students

Registration for Kindergarten students are done by appointment with Ms. Diane Adams. Contact us to book your appointment at(418) 652-2106, ext. 8100 or 8102. Allow between 30 and 45 minutes to complete the registration process.

A) Territory.Make sure your address is on St-Vincent Elementary's territory. To verify,click here and enter your home address, then scroll down to see which school your address is associated with. You must be in the St-Vincent Elementary area to receive bussing. Students residing on the South Shore (Lévis, St-Romuald, St-Rédempteur, St-Nicolas, St-Jean-Chrysostome, Charny, Pintendre, Breakeyville) attend our school. However, transportation is only available to other municipalities IF available. Registration can only be confirmed once transportation is authorized.

B) Eligibility.Your child must be eligible to receive English instruction under Bill 101.Click here for more details.

C) Age.Your child must be 5 years old by September 30, 2019. You will be required to provide a valid Birth Certificate (long form, original document). A photocopy will be taken at registration. You will also be asked to provide the child's Medicard (Carte Soleil) number.

D) Proof of residency. You will be required to provide proof of residency in Quebec if your child was born out of province. An original document which shows the parents' name and address must be submitted (Hydro, phone, cable, tax bill,driver's licence, bank or credit card statement, etc.). A photocopy will betaken at registration. 

D) Orientation Meeting. We offer new families the opportunity to meet with our staff,visit our school and get detailed information about our Kindergarten program.This activity is usually held in May. Our secretary will tell you more about this meeting when you register.


New Students at other levels (Grade 1 to 6)

If your child is transferring from another CQSB school, please inform both schools of the change. Administrative files and bussing information will be transferred accordingly.

If you are new to the area:

C) School visit. We offer new families the opportunity to meet with our staff, visit our school and get detailed information about our Elementary program. Our secretary will tell you more about this meeting when you register and to set up an appointment.


Cross-Boundary Requests

If your child attends St-Vincent under a cross-boundary approval, it will need to be renewed.The necessary form will be sent to you in February Parents should complete, sign and return this form by May 1st 2019. Confirmations are sent to parents by mid-May. 


Temporary Certificates

If your child attends St-Vincent under a temporary certificate expiring in June 2019, you will need to make a new request to the MELS. The necessary form will be sent to you in February. Parents should complete, sign and return this form as soon as possible. If the parent is military, make sure you also provide a copy of the military ID card (both sides). The expiry date should be beyond November 30th 2019.


Student graduating in June 2019

Information about confirming your choice of high school for the 2019-2020 school year will be sent to parents later in January.
