SHS students outdo themselves in annual Public Speaking Contest

The annual public speaking finals were held on May 28th in the Little Theatre in front of a captivated audience of Grade 6  to Sec. 5 students and teachers. Ten of our high school students outdid themselves and presented speaches that were funny, moving and entertaining. In the junior group, Sec 1-2, the winners are: Kayla Vezina, first place, and Andrea Lopez Iniesta, second place. In the senior group, Sec 3-5, the winners are Danielle Fredericks, first place and Renée Fredericks, second place, as well as Maude Gagnon, honourable mention. Congratulations to all participants and our English teachers who guided and coached all our high school students through the difficult process of writing and delivering a speech! Thanks to our judges for their time and effort!
