A friendly competition of Flag Football took place on Thursday, June 1st at St. Vincent School. Three CQSB schools participated by sending teams comprised of Grades 4 to 6; Everest Elementary sent 2 teams, St. Vincent sent 1 and Ste-Foy Elementary also sent 1 team. This event was graciously organized by Mr. Gary Kenler, principal of Everest Elementary School, in collaboration with the RSEQ* program À l’école, moi j’bouge!. Be Active Québec was present with a healthy snack kiosk to refuel the students, and we received the support of the Ville de Québec who offered free of charge, the football field adjacent to the St. Vincent grounds.
On Monday, May 29th the CQSB Elementary Track and Field Meet took place for the 11th year. This annual event has taken place at various venues but thanks to the generosity of the Valcartier Community Centre, we’ve had the privilege of using their facilities for the last four years at NO cost. The organizers, coaches and students are extremely grateful for the kindness of Pamala Hogan and her team.
