The Central Québec School Board will undertake drinking water quality tests in all its establishments

In a letter sent to school board chairs, the Minister of Education, Jean-François Roberge, mentions that an initiative is underway to ensure that all schools in Québec have good water quality in their buildings. In this letter it is indicated that devices to analyze drinking water will be delivered to school boards at the latest at the beginning of 2020.

On September 21st, 2019, a special activity took place about 15 km from the community of Kawawachikamach, on the shore of Lake Attikamagen in Labrador. Organized in collaboration with Ms. Loretta Robinson, a young and much-respected educator from Kawawachikamach, and documented by a photographer from the First Nations Education Council, the Land-Based Learning Day was intended as a culmination of a week of induction activities for all Jimmy Sandy Memorial School staff with the added twist that Elders and other community members were also present, helping share various aspects of their culture, traditions and knowledge.

Online Academic Record

The ministère de l'Éducation et de l'Enseignement supérieur launched an online service for student's academic records. Through this service, students enrolled in general education (Secondary IV or V), adult general education and vocational training can now view all their learning outcomes as well as diplomas obtained in secondary school and vocational training.
