Parents' Page
Dear ParentsJanuary 2007 I'd like to take this opportunity to wish everyone a healthy, happy New Year. This is the perfect time to get back to good habits and maybe make changes that are necessary for your son or daughter to achieve greater academic success. One very important area is reading, some students have a regular reading time and it is part of their daily routine, others may have gotten away from doing their
reading at home and it is important that a special emphasis is placed on this most basic of all learning activities. One idea might be to limit the amount of television your son or daughter
watches during the week; some surprising benefits can come from this, often parents notice how other opportunities for learning, reading, and improved family life blossom all because of this one simple action. The second term ends in early March, Canada's Government Webquest
will be our prime focus this month. All teams have to finish their research, communicate their findings, and complete their project duotangs - a huge amount of work to accomplish before the end of the term.
