JOEY THE MONSTER

    Joey was a monster. But he wasn't a mean one. He was very sad because he had no friends. They were all afraid of Joey.

But one day, on a Hallowe'en night Joey was walking on the sidewalk, a little girl said, "Hello," to him. It made Joey's heart feel so hot inside. The little girl continued, "My name is Lola and yours?" She looked at Joey but he didn't answer, so then she started to cry very hard.

Joey whispered, "I didn't mean to scare you, Lola."

Lola said, "No you didn't scare me, I am crying because nobody wants to be my friend."

Joey said, "Me too I have no friends… Do you want to be my friend?"

"Oh yes with pleasure."

So from then on they were always there for each other.
