A CHRISTMAS CAROL

BY CHRISTINE CARON

A popular story written by Charles Dickens is The Christmas Carol. It's about an old man called Mr. Scrooge who only cares about his business and money. Years passed by and Scrooge's best friend Marley died. He never even bothered removing Marley's name from the door in front. 7 years passed and he still hadn't removed Marley's name. Christmas day was nearing and Scrooge's nephew came to visit him. "Merry Christmas Uncle!" said his nephew.

"Bah! Humbug!" he just replied, "The only thing that Christmas means to me is more work and paying stuff when you don't even have the money for, which means more work to do to get more money to pay my debts."

Scrooge hated Christmas more than anything else. People stayed away from him as much as possible. Nobody liked him (obviously).

I advise you to read this book especially because we're nearing Christmas. Also it tells what is the real (well part of it) meaning of Christmas.

Once you finish this book, you will want to talk about it to everyone. You can also watch it on the television or even rent the movie.

Merry Christmas!!
