LUNAR ECLIPSE REPORT

Kimberly Plourde and Elisabeth Pitt

INTRODUCTION
A lunar eclipse is when we don't see the moon. It's because the moon is on one side of the earth and the sun is on the other. Another reason why we can't see the moon is because the sun does not reflect light on it. The earth is hiding the sun from the moon.(we saw the moon with a blue corona).During the eclipse the moon moves and it gets smaller. The sun usually shines on the moon but during the eclipse it doesn't.

LUNAR ECLIPSE
(3 times how the moon looked different)
10:15=the moon is going into the earth's shadow.
10:40=it's half way.
11:15=total eclipse
10:15 the moon was a little smaller than a full moon.

(more information on the eclipse)
·There's the full moon before and after the eclipse.
·It's a full moon it's not waxing or waning its an exact full moon.
·The eclipse started at 10:15 and ended at 1:18.

It's like a reflection mirror. When there's light the moon reflects it. When there's none it's dark but we can still see it a bit.
